FISC is pleased to host Area Sports 411. Below you will find a list of announcements and links to various youth sports clubs/leagues/associations as well as adult recreational leagues in and around the Tri-State area. If your sports group or association is interested in posting information on this page, please send your information to areasports411@frederickindoor.com. Bass Warrior Open
A golf tournament to benefit the Bass family and the HHT Foundation

Many of you know that a dear friend of ours Sean Bass has been battling a very courageous fight against Leukemia. The diagnosis came as quite a shock this past July for Sean, Lisa and their 3 kids Griffin, Lukas and Evyn. Sean has not been able to work since he has started treatment and Lisa spends every day getting him to his appointments and taking very good care of him. As you can imagine this has taken a very huge toll on their finances. There have been different fundraisers the past few months but this is our biggest yet. Many of you have helped Sean and Lisa already and for that i thank you....some dont even know them.....but the community came together and helped because they needed it. Thank You!
It came upon a conversation sitting around the Bass family kitchen table. Every year for the past 10 years Sean and Lisa have put on a very successful golf tournament known as the BASS OPEN. In those years they have raised nearly 70,000.00 for HHT. A rare blood disease that Sean and Griffin have. It was there way of "giving back" and making awareness about HHT. At the table that night Lisa was so upset that this year there would be no golf tournament. She could not deal with what life has dealt them and try to do this....sooooooooo we decided to do it for her and FOR THEM!
We still will donate a portion of the proceeds to HHT, but the majority of the proceeds will go to the Bass Family. We are hoping this will help send them off on one heck of an awesome family vacation. Time away from Hopkins, blood transfusions, scans...medicine....doctors...etc... Just a few days of smiles and laughter! Making Memories.
Its amazing what they have taught Me, Matt and even Kaila and Kolby. We know how lucky we are...and are thankful for it everyday. The love that Lisa and Sean have for each other is something special...and I feel blessed just to witness it! You never know how strong you are until its your only option...and he is such a warrior! The Doctors at Hopkins call him that all the time! Which is why its called..... BASS WARRIOR OPEN!

It also details the various levels of sponsorship we have available- please look these over and consider becoming a sponsor this year! Also, please forward this to anyone you think may be interested in golfing or sponsoring the event- we are looking for a huge response to help out Sean and his family! We also are in need of donations to use towards the basket raffle, golfing prizes, and goody bags, so if you are able to help us acquire these items, or gift cards, etc., please let me know-thanks!!!
