Frederick Indoor Sports Center Partners with 368 Athletics
The Frederick Indoor Sports Center has partnered with 368 Athletics to create the 368 Performance Training Center inside the 65,000 SF facility on Brookfield Rd. in Frederick.
“Our goal is to bring together the premier fitness resources for our patrons, all under one roof,” says FISC owner Tony Checchia. "Partnering with a world-class trainer and fitness coach like Shannon Wallace enables us to create the 368 Performance Training Center on site, with no ramp-up period.”
FISC has also partnered with Evolve Martial Arts Academy, the US Army training-inspired program, SoldierFit® and a variety of retail businesses designed to enhance patrons’ comfort and convenience.
Checchia says he chose Wallace and his program because of the Newport News, VA native’s passion for fitness and results-driven approach.
As a child, Wallace was plagued with injuries and was frequently sick. His health improved significantly, however, when he began playing sports. He became involved in martial arts and played Division II college football, but he never felt he was able to reach his optimal goals as an athlete. After working in Sales & Finance with Fortune 500 companies, Shannon’s passion for fitness and athleticism brought him back to the training arena.
According to Wallace, his 368 Performance Training Center is based on the concept of the full circle (360 degrees) and the 8 essentials of athleticism: strength, power, flexibility, reflexes, SAQ [speed, agility and quickness], balance, mental preparation and recovery.
“368 Athletics may be one of the most innovative regimens out there,” says Wallace. “From the professional athlete to the average person, our approach trains the body to depend on itself by developing movement through a full range of motion exercises and strength-building scenarios.”
“We have an aggressive growth plan at FISC that is based on partnering with experts whom we feel are already offering excellent programs. Rather than building these options from the ground up, this business will allow us to offer our patrons unique, high quality fitness, health and wellness options on-site much more quickly and efficently.”
