Athletic Trainer Anthony Jones

F.I.T. Trainer

With three years experience in the fitness industry, Anthony Jones has worked with a diverse group of clientele for sports performance and injury prevention/maintenance. His clients ages range from 8 to 18 and include athletes in all sports and all levels. He has trained semi-pro football players and amateur martial arts fighters. In addition, Anthony has worked with the senior population, offering services in movement and postural restoration, as well as general weight loss and dietary guidelines. As a Frederick native, Anthony played multiple sports, but was never the stand-out athlete. However, after years of study and training with a focus on various strength and agility techniques, he has transformed himself into an explosive athlete and more mature person. He expects nothing less than a full commitment and hard work from all his athletes. Anthony is committed to giving his athletes the tools they need to gain an edge over the competition, both on the field and court. He also believes his training empowers athletes and boosts their self-confidence.

Josh Pleasant

F.I.T. Trainer

Josh Pleasant specializes in increasing performance, speed and agility, mobility, foot speed and footwork. His goals are to create an optimistic, high quality training environment at F.I.T. and to promote healthy lifestyles for youth and adults.
Josh holds a certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
He was born in Broward County Florida, but raised Germantown, MD. He became a standout football player at Watkins Mill High School (Gaithersburg, MD) and was a multi-sport athlete for many years. He attended Hargrave Military Academy, as a 2nd lieutenant in Virginia, followed by Kent State University (KSU), where he was awarded a Division 1 full scholarship. Josh became the first player from Watkins Mill High to start as a Division 1 football player. At KSU, he played from freshman through his senior year, started 37 of 46 games, was a team captain, and received All-Conference football honors in the Mid-American Conference. In 2013, after a significant injury just before being drafted, Josh started his professional career in the Arena Football League with the Chicago Rush and was named the team’s Rookie of the Year.  The following year he played for the Spokane Shock.
During his football career, Josh ventured into the world of Fitness and Performance Training. He served as a volunteer Defensive Backs Coach and Strength and Conditioning Coach at Watkins Mill High, in 2013. He also co-founded the Rising Athletes Youth Organization, a developmental sports camp for young men and women, which promotes optimum mental strength in combination with athletic training to create excellence on and off the playing field. Rising Athletes has been running camps from Maryland to Florida, since 2013. Because of his strong upbringing, leadership, and experience as a high performance athlete, he has a passion in mentoring youth.
